Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan reveals plans for acting debut, and why is she dating fitness expert Nupur Shikhar?
New Delhi: Unlike other star kids who are keen to follow in their parents’ footsteps and make their debut in acting, Ira Khan, daughter of Bollywood’s Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan, doesn’t dream of appearing on the big screen. Instead, she is keen to play a director and has expressed it on a couple of occasions. Few people know that Ira made her directorial debut in the theater. He directed a play titled ‘Media’ in which Yuvraj Singh’s wife Hazel Keech played the lead role.
While Ira prefers to stay away from the limelight, she gets quite candid while interacting with her fans during the AMA session on Instagram. During one such recent interactive session, Ira answered a question and said that she has no such plans to enter the acting world. “I’m not going to the movies.”
She further shared why she is in a relationship with Nupur as she wrote, “I am with Popeye because he is a beautiful, wonderful person”. She also shared that she has had a weak week, but is hopeful that she will recover.
Aamir’s elder son and Ira’s brother Junaid Khan is all set to make his feature film debut with Yash Raj Films’ film ‘Maharaja’. Currently the shooting of the film is going on.
The story of ‘Maharaja’ is reportedly based on the infamous 1862 Maharaja Libel case. The film also stars Shalini Pandey, Sharvari Wagh and Jaideep Ahlawat in pivotal roles.
Ira has always been vocal about mental health awareness on her social media platforms. She has been particularly open about her mental health journey and had also shared how she has struggled with depression for a few years now.
Talking about his personal life, he is in a relationship with fitness expert Nupur Shikhar for some time now. The two made it official on Valentine’s Day in 2021. She often leaves sweet pictures and videos with him, who are in the limelight.
