Mumbai: Actor-director Deepak Tijori filed a fraud case against producer Mohan Gopal Nadar at the Amboli police station in Mumbai. In his FIR, the actor claimed that Rs 2.6 crore was defrauded by the accused. An FIR was registered on March 15. The Mumbai Police has already booked Nadar under sections 420 (cheating and dishonest transfer of property) and 406 (criminal breach of trust) of the IPC and started investigation into the matter.

According to the Mumbai Police, the actor said that Nadar had joined him to produce the thriller ‘Dipsy’, which was to be directed by Deepak.

Deepak told the police that he was planning to shoot in London in 2019. Keeping that in mind, Deepak has given 2.60 lakh rupees to Nadar. But Deepak said that the film was not completed on time. After repeatedly asking for the money, Nadar cheated him on various pretexts.

Further, Deepak has stated in his FIR that the checks issued by Nadar kept bouncing. Then Deepak decided to file a complaint against him.

An official in Amboli said that an investigation has been initiated. No one has been arrested so far.
