New Delhi: Actress Adah Sharma on Thursday (February 25) slammed late musician Bappi Lahiri for her social media post and has now deleted the ‘suspicious’ Instagram post. In the post, Adah was comparing herself to the late veteran Bappi Da, in reference to her love for gold jewellery.
However, netizens were unhappy with the timing of the post and called it ‘outrageous’ as Bappi Lahiri passed away on February 15 this year. He accused him of gaining fame by comparing himself to a legend and termed his post as ‘garbage’.
Responding to the backlash, Adah Sharma issued a clarification as she spoke to Times of India about the same. She said, “The post was originally posted on my Instagram two years ago on March 28, 2020.” He further added that his team had scheduled it a month before Bappi Da’s unfortunate demise.
Later, he deleted the post. Although the old post of 2020 is still visible on his Instagram handle.
