Anushka Sharma begins prep for 'Chakda Xpress'

Mumbai: Actress Anushka Sharma on Friday announced that she has started preparing for her next film “Chakda Express”, which is inspired by the life and times of former Indian cricket captain Jhulan Goswami. Produced by Anushka Sharma and her brother Karnesh Sharma’s Clean Slate Films, ‘Chakda Express’ is directed by Prosit Roy.

The actor posted pictures of his bowling at the nets on Instagram. “Grip by Grip Prep #ChakdaXpress,” wrote the 33-year-old.

According to the makers, ‘Chakda Express’ traces the journey of Jhulan Goswami as she “climbs the ladder to fulfill her dream of playing cricket for India despite the odds posed by wrong politics”.

She holds the world record for most wickets taken by a woman in an international career.

Sharma will reportedly travel to the UK to shoot for the 30-day schedule of the film. ‘Chakda Express’ will stream on Netflix.
