Brahmastra: Ayan Mukherjee clarifies whether Ranbir wore shoes inside the temple

New Delhi: The trailer of filmmaker Ian Mukherjee’s much-anticipated adventure trilogy ‘Brahmastra’ Part 1 has been released for a while and there has been a lot of buzz. Leading duo Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have high VFX and special effects for Shiva and Isha in reel chemistry. The trailer has been talked about by everyone since its release and has kept fans talking about it.
Meanwhile, at the same time, due to one of Ranbir Kapoor’s entry scenes, the trailer is also under criticism in which the actor can be seen wearing his shoes and ringing the giant bell of a temple. The hashtag ‘Boycott Brahmastra’ was trending on Twitter and the show received a lot of opposition from a section of Netizens.
Now, director Ian Mukherjee has finally broken his silence on the controversy and issued a statement in his favor. He noted that, contrary to what it might have been, Ranbir enters the pavilion with shoes instead of the temple. In his judgment, he wrote, “Some in our community are upset because of a shot in our trailer – Ranbir’s character is wearing shoes like he’s bell ringing. I wanted to be the creator (and a devotee) of this film. Please politely tell me what happened here. Durga enters the puja pavilion.
Durga Puja Celebration … 75 years! For one, I have been a part of it since my childhood. In my experience, we only take off our shoes on the platform where the goddess is, not when you enter the pavilion. “
Ian added, “It is personally important for me to approach anyone who regrets watching this film … because, above all, Brahmastra was created as a film experience that respects and celebrates Indian culture, traditions and history. That is the heart of why I made this film, so this feeling It’s very important for me to reach every Indian who sees Brahmastra! ”
