BTS' Jin broke the record with his solo single 'The Astronaut'


New Delhi: K-pop superband BTS member Jin’s hit ‘The Astronaut’ has become the fastest single by a solo artist to cross one million copies.

Following his collaboration with Chris Martin and company on the mega-hit ‘My Universe’ off the K-Pop boy band’s 2021 LP ‘Music of the Spheres’, the 29-year-old star joins the “Yellow” hitmakers. wrote his latest song, reports aceshowbiz.com.

‘The Astronaut’ breaks a new astronomical record. According to The Korea Economic Daily, it has shifted more than 1,024,382 copies as of November 12.

In addition to adding lyrics, Coldplay plays on the track and Chris plays a news anchor in the accompanying music video.

Meanwhile, Chris previously said he didn’t think Coldplay would beat their BTS collaboration.

The 45-year-old musician said: “I don’t think we’ll ever be able to match the surprise of BTS. It was a surprise for us too.”

“The first mentioned trip — I was like, ‘How can that work?’ – As soon as the song came on, I was thinking, ‘Maybe it’s for BTS’ – and now it feels like the most natural collaboration in the world.

It was a wonderful lesson for me in keeping an open mind all the time, because you never know what life or music will throw at you.”
