Chaitra Navratri Day 5: Rituals and Donation
Panchami, the fifth day of Navratri, is an important day for worshiping Goddess Skandhamatha. Therefore, according to devotees, this day is sacred. Many rituals and traditions are performed by people to worship the Goddess and seek her blessings.
One of the important traditions on this day is the “Panchopsar Puja” where worshipers offer food, water, flowers, incense, a lamp (jothi) and incense sticks to the Goddess. After the priest finishes the puja, the devotees offer their prayers and seek the blessings of the Goddess. This prasad is then distributed to the devotees as prasad.
