Circus First Poster: Ranveer Singh is the life of this “Golmaal” party

You know it’s a helluva poster when it features Ranveer Singh in a circus setting. The poster shows Ranveer Singh introducing himself to his fellow cast members – there are a lot of them. The main cast of the film includes Ranveer Singh, Jacqueline Fernandez and Pooja Hegde. Circus is an adaptation of Shakespeare’s play The Comedy of Errors, directed by Rohit Shetty and also starring Varun Sharma, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, Siddharth Jadhav, Vrajesh Hirji, Vijay Patkar, Sulbha Arya, Mukesh Tiwari, Anil Charanjit Huh. Ashwini Kalsekar and Murli Sharma are in lead roles. Oh!

Sharing the film’s poster, Ranveer Singh wrote: “Circus this Christmas.” The film’s director Rohit Shetty wrote: “It’s time to bring our audiences back to theatres…once again! Golmaal released 16 years ago and the love you all gave me made me what I am today Hoon! ‘Circus’ is a Christmas gift for you and your family! Because there’s a lot of breakup in this ‘Circus’.” Regarding the Golmaal reference, most of the cast has featured in Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal series of films, which are full of humour.

Circus is Ranveer Singh’s third collaborative project with Rohit Shetty. The two first worked together in the 2018 film Simmba. He also collaborated for Sooryavanshi, in which Ranveer had an extended cameo. Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif were in the lead roles in this film. Circus has been shot in Mumbai, Goa and Ooty. The film will be co-produced by Rohit Shetty, Bhushan Kumar and Reliance Entertainment.
