Mumbai: Filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s upcoming comedy film ‘Circus’, directed by Ranveer Singh, is set to hit theaters on December 23. The film is based on William Shakespeare’s classic play, The Comedy of Errors. Those who are accidentally separated at birth. Pooja Hegde, Jacqueline Fernandez and Varun Sharma also star in “Circus”.
This is Shetty’s third collaboration with Singh after their blockbuster “Simba” and last year’s “Suryavanshi”, in which he starred in an extended cameo.
“‘Circus’ is a complete family pastime. There is no better time than the Christmas holidays to celebrate the film in theaters everywhere,” the filmmaker said in a statement.
Shetty, who is known for the rights to “Golmal” and his comedic hits such as “Lion” and “Suryavanshi”, also shared a poster of the film on his Instagram page.

“Circus” is presented by D-Series led by Bhushan Kumar. The film stars Siddhartha Jadhav, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra and Vrajesh Hirji among others.
In an interview with PTI in November last year, Shetty described the “circus” film as “a very sweet film”.
