Deepak Chahar looks suspicious for SL seriesAuthor: Yuvi February 21, 2022
India pacer Deepak Chahar pulled his right hamstring during the third T20 International against West Indies and was placed under suspicion for the Sri Lanka series starting on Thursday.
Chahar, who was in good form and picked up two early wickets, was seen limping off the field during the run-up on the last ball of his second over.
The damage is being assessed.
If it is a teardown, Chahar could also have a questionable start to the IPL, where Chennai Super Kings took a whopping Rs 14 crore in the auction to retain his services.
Typically, a grade A tear takes six weeks to fully heal and rehabilitate.
As of now, he is certainly on a dubious start to the three-match T20 International series against Sri Lanka starting February 24 in Lucknow.
He may have to go straight to the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru to undergo a rehabilitation programme.
