Guneeth Monga of ‘Elephant Whisperers’ fame has been admitted to ‘hospital’ after not getting time to speak at the 2023 Oscars.

New Delhi: The 2023 Oscars are auspicious and historic for India. Guneeth Monga’s ‘The Elephant Whisperers’ and SS Rajamouli’s RRR song ‘Natu Nadu’ brought home the trophies. As Kuneeth Monga bagged the Academy Award for Best Documentary Short, days after the ceremony, country music composer MM Keeravani has come out with a shocking revelation.
MM Keeravani shared that Kuneeth Monga was not given time to speak following his win and after all this, he felt suffocated and was admitted to the hospital. Speaking to Galata Plus, Keeravani said, “The universe answered my prayers and it happened. It didn’t make me very excited. But it was exciting, but you don’t get choked like the other award winner. Kuneet Monga. She didn’t get time to speak, so she choked and she was also in the hospital. She was allowed.
Earlier, Kuneeth also revealed that he was shocked that he was not given an opportunity by the Academy to speak after the Oscars. “I didn’t get a chance to give my Oscar speech. I had a look of shock on my face. I wanted to say that this is India’s first Oscar for an Indian production, it’s a big thing. My heart started pounding like I couldn’t. I didn’t come this far. I’m going back there, I will make sure of what I say,” the producer told Bombay Times.
One of the winners from India at the 95th Academy Awards this year was the documentary ‘The Elephant Whisperers’. The documentary is based on Pomman and Belly, who raise orphaned baby elephants in Tamil Nadu.
‘Elephant Whisperers’ is a true masterpiece that showcases the beauty and intelligence of elephants and the importance of protecting them.
