Hope to work with director Aditya Vikram Sengupta one day: Rajkumar Rao
Kolkata: Actor Rajkumar Rao has said that he hopes to work with renowned Bengali film director Aditya Vikram Sengupta in the future.
Rao, who was in the city for a fashion show, said he was a huge fan of Sengupta’s critically acclaimed 2014 relationship drama “Asha Jawar Maje” (Labour of Love), which premiered at the prestigious Venice International Film Festival.
“I am a big fan of ‘Asha Jaawar Maje’ and Sengupta is phenomenal. He is also a friend. We had some conversations earlier. I hope we will work together one day,” said the National Award winner. PTI
Rao, who is currently receiving acclaim for her performance in Vasan Bala’s Netflix film “Monica, Oh My Darling”, said she is grateful to have had the opportunity to play so many “wonderful characters” in 12 years.
“I have worked with wonderful directors. So, the film I am shooting is my dream role. Once the shoot is over, the next dream role will start with the next project,” he added.
The 38-year-old actor is currently shooting for the cricket-themed film “Mr & Mrs Mahi”, which also stars Janhvi Kapoor.
Anubhav Sinha’s film “Beat” and the Netflix series “Guns & Gulabs” are among his upcoming releases.
