IND-W vs AUS-W T20I Series: ‘I too will not be able to help…’, Harmanpreet Kaur made a big statement before the first T20
The Indian women’s cricket team will soon take on Australia in a five-match T20I series. All the teams are busy preparing for the T20 World Cup to be held in South Africa in February 2023. This series has been planned keeping that tournament in mind as both these teams aim to leave no stone unturned for the tournament. Australia are the reigning World Champions in this format, beating India in the epic final at the iconic MCG in 2022. The Harmanpreet Kaur-led side will be aiming to avenge that defeat in the next World Cup but before that they need to ensure that they get the better of Australia in their backyard.
Alyssa Healy is leading this Australian team. To take on a reigning champion team like Australia, India will really need to play out of their skin. On the eve of the first T20 starting in Mumbai on December 9, Harmanpreet talked about how important it is to listen to players as captain and how players perform in such an environment.
“For me, it is very important to keep all the players together because according to me, everyone should be able to share their views and be treated with equal importance. I know there are some players in the team who can walk out And can perform well for the team, but you still need your other players who are with the team who also need to be treated equally because sometimes, some players need higher support.So. As a captain, and as a leader, it is my responsibility to go out and talk to them about how they are feeling and how they can improve as a cricketer,” Harman told The Star. Talked to sports.
“So, I think it’s all really helping me lead them on the field. I think the most positive thing is they’re opening up to me because if they don’t open up, I won’t either.” Will stay.” able to help them. They are trusting me, my plans and my powers and all these things are very important. I think the support we are getting from other team members and the efforts the team is putting in is the reason for these positive results because if you have faith in your team, then you cannot lag behind anywhere on the field . So, the belief factor that we have within the team is the strength that we have right now. The reason we are improving as a team and being able to deliver results in every tournament is the belief factor which is helping us.”
