India head coach Rahul Dravid joins camp in UK 2 days after SA concludes
The head coach of the Indian men’s cricket team, Rahul Dravid, has arrived in the UK and joined the Test team in Leicester. Team India will continue training from July 1 at the Uptonsteel County Ground in Leicester until the fifth and final Test at Edgbaston. Dravid was busy with work at least 2 days ago when India were playing South Africa in the fifth T20I in Bengaluru on June 19. Within 48 hours, the head coach left for England as he did not want to waste time and got to work. Change the mode to Test. India’s first target would be to finish the unfinished task of winning their first series in England since 2007–08, when they won under Dravid’s leadership.

Dravid will come as a big help to the Indian batsmen in England conditions. India have taken a good 2-1 lead in the series. The visitors’ team will aim to either win or draw the Test to seal the series. England will play under their news captain Ben Stokes, who made a stellar start to his captaincy career with a dominant win over New Zealand in the Test series.
Stokes & Co will be aiming to destabilize the Indian batting order to sabotage their chances of writing history in England. Last year, Rohit Sharma batted very well in English conditions, which was one of the big reasons why India did so well in four Tests last year. India will also have a new captain in Rohit Sharma, who will lead the team in the first overseas Test. Team India’s fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami will also have the responsibility. Not to forget, R Ashwin missed the flight to England as he tested positive for Covid-19. However, according to a report, he will be able to join Team India’s camp from June 24-25.
