India vs Ireland 2022: Rahul Teotia disappointed with selectors, says this
Gujarat Titans all-rounder Rahul Teotia expressed his disappointment after India’s announcement of the squad for the 2022 Ireland tour, which consists mostly of junior players. Tewatia, who was a key aspect in GT’s journey to their maiden IPL 2022 trophy, did not like to be left out by the selectors.
SRH’s Rahul Tripathi got his first call to represent the Men in Blue after being one of the top performers in IPL 2022. But Rahul Teotia was ignored for the selection. However, the selectors decided not to include Tewatia in the Ireland tour and the left-handed batsman was left heartbroken.
Rahul Tewatia posted ‘Pain from Expectations’ on Twitter along with two sad and angry emojis. The tweet certainly confirms that the left-hander was looking forward to joining the Indian team as most of the senior players would be in England at that time and the selection shows that the selectors are giving a chance to some fresh faces.

Notably, Hardik Pandya will lead the Indian team after winning their maiden IPL trophy as the captain of Gujarat Titans. Pandya has led Tewatia in the IPL and knows what the left-hander can provide but unfortunately Tewatia was given the opportunity to replace Rahul Tripathi and Sanju Samson.
Team India head coach Rahul Dravid will not see his T20 team in action as he will be in England where India will play a Test match. Interestingly, VVS Laxman will take the boys to Ireland where fans will catch a glimpse of the future players of Indian cricket.
Indian Squad: Hardik Pandya (Captain), Bhuvneshwar Kumar (Vice-Captain), Ishan Kishan, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Sanju Samson, Suryakumar Yadav, Venkatesh Iyer, Deepak Hooda, Rahul Tripathi, Dinesh Karthik (WK), Yuzvendra Chahal, Axar Patel, R Bishnoi , Harshal Patel, Avesh Khan, Arshdeep Singh, Umran Malik.
