Kangana Ranaut praises Tabu for hits like Phool Phulaiya 2 and Drishyam 2, calls him an ‘inspiration’

MUMBAI: Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut on Sunday praised actor Tabu for delivering both ‘Phool Phulaiya 2’ and ‘Drishyam 2’ and said “he is single-handedly saving the Hindi film industry”.

Taking to Instagram, Kangana shared a note about her stories, which read, “Only two Hindi films worked this year, Phul Phulaiya 2 and Drishyam 2…and both films featured superstar @tabutiful ji in lead roles. ..saving Hindi cinema single-handedly.” …Her talent and consistency have never been questioned, but her best looks in her fifties and the height of her stardom are commendable…I think the women deserve their credit so much. Unwavering dedication to their work…such an inspiration.”“

Drishyam 2` collected Rs 15.38 crore on its opening day, making it the second highest opening day grosser of a Hindi film in 2022. Directed by Abhishek Pathak, the film stars Ajay Devgan, Shriya Charan and Akshay Khanna in lead roles. On the other hand “Pool Phulaiya 2” collected over Rs 200 crore at the box office. The film stars Karthik Aryan and Kiara Advani in lead roles.

Meanwhile, Tabu is next seen in director Osman Bhardwaj’s directorial debut ‘Kute’ alongside Arjun Kapoor, Naseeruddin Shah, Konkana Sensarma and Radhika Madan. The film is slated to hit the big screens on January 12, 2023. Apart from that, she will also be seen in Ajay Devgan’s next directorial “Bola”. Talking about Kangana’s career, she will next be seen in “Tejas” and period drama “Emergency”, her solo directorial debut.
