Kangana Ranaut’s lock up will stream as per schedule after the court vacates the stay order!
New Delhi: A Hyderabad court has withdrawn a stay order to stream Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut-hosted reality show ‘Lock Up’ as planned.
The fearless reality show ‘Lock Up’ hosted by Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is making headlines these days because of its concept and it was recently challenged on charges of plagiarism and the City Civil Court of Hyderabad for its streaming. The stay order was issued on the date. However, much to the relief of the makers of the show, the court has now vacated the order and allowed the show to stream.
It all started when Hyderabad based businessman Sanobar Baig saw the promo of the show and found its story and script similar to the show called ‘The Jail’. According to him he had already shared the concept with Abhishek Rege of Endemol Shine India.
It was written by Shantanu Ray and titled Anand. Sanobar filed a legal complaint of plagiarism and hence there was apprehension that the show would not air on the scheduled date and time.
But now the audience will be able to watch this show tonight. 16 contestants will compete for infrastructure in this show. Comedian Munavvar Farooqui, model and actress Poonam Pandey, wrestler Babita Phogat, actress Nisha Rawal and television actor Karanvir Bohra are some of the confirmed names.
‘Lock Up’ will be streaming on February 27 at 10 PM on Alt Balaji and MX Player.
