Kannada actor Digant was flown out of Goa due to injury during the holidays
Bangalore: Kannada film actor Digant Manjale was airlifted from Goa to Bangalore with sports injuries and was admitted to a private hospital here for further examination, hospital officials said on Tuesday.
The 38-year-old actor from Tirthahalli in Shivamogga, who starred in ‘Kalipatta’, ‘Pancharangi’ and ‘Barijata’, has been injured in Goa, hospital sources said.
“Mr. Dikanth Manipal was airlifted from Goa to Manipal Hospital, Old Airport Road. He is being admitted and evaluated under the guidance of Dr. Vidyadhara S, HOD and Consultant Spine Surgeon …,” the hospital said in a statement.
It said the actor had sustained a sports injury in Goa two days ago and was being treated at Manipal Hospital in Goa.
“His investigations are ongoing and the results are awaited,” the bulletin said.
The hospital, which said the medical team was taking all care to ensure he recovered quickly, said it would issue additional notices about his medical condition.
