Neetu (48kg) and Jasmine (60kg) were the other boxers who sealed the spots for the quadrennial event. Nikhat looked in control throughout her bout, throwing clear punches as she danced around the ring.

A two-time former youth world champion, Neetu won a 5-2 split decision over 2019 silver medalist Manju Rani. This Haryana boxer is enjoying a good day this year. She won a gold medal at the Strandja Memorial Tournament earlier this year. There was uproar too. 2021 Asian Youth Boxing Championship bronze medalist Jasmine defeated 2022 World Championships bronze medalist Parveen Hooda in a fast-paced light-middleweight final.
