New Delhi: Adivi Chase’s ‘Major’ has already crossed the 50 crore mark at the box office, with viewers and critics praising his meticulous performance as Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan in the film.
But most importantly, the star was touched by the love and opinion of the late Major’s family and an ex-colleague and friend who lived with him, trained with him and knew him well.
Razak Adil, who worked as a major at the National Defense Academy and the National Security Guard, who knew him well, recently wrote an emotional note after watching the film – Razak said, “I’m waiting for this movie, Major. Announced. Thanks to Sandeep’s dad, I got a call from Adivi Chashi, who plays Sandy Char in the movie, except for the Tour de Force behind the project. As the final credits unfolded, Sandy’s sense of loss reappears every time I think of her. However, I felt immense pride in the reactions of other spectators around me who did not know who I was. Many were sad, most were seen with deep emotion and a few young people were excited and motivated. As Mama always says, “Sandy does not belong only to us. He belongs to the whole Indian nation.”
All compliments to Adivi Chesh on the film, he added, “This is a great film that gets most of the facts and details right. The story of his close family in #Bangalore and the sacrifices they made are beautifully told. The love story between him and his wife is emotionally written, for which Adi deserves special praise. Adivi Chash looked at the area and understood Sandy’s habits. In some scenes it felt like seeing the real Sandy on screen. The producers have also succeeded in highlighting the things that are really important to Sandy!
