Modi talks to Putin, calls for immediate ceasefire and talks
Prime Minister Narendra Modi in talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday night called for an immediate ceasefire and a return to talks, the Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement. Mr Putin “briefed” Mr Modi about the Russian decision to strike several locations in Ukraine, the PMO said, adding that the safe evacuation of Indian citizens from the conflict zone was India’s “top priority”.
