Preeti is seen wearing an ethnic suit, while Gayle looks cool in a black t-shirt and black pants. Gayle has previously played for Preeti’s co-owned Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He went unsold at the mega auction in February this year, leaving Gayle out of the tournament for the first time in his career.
In the last few seasons, Gayle had scored 193 and 288 runs respectively with best 99 for PBKS in the IPL. Overall, Gayle has scored 4,965 runs in 142 IPL matches at a strike rate of 148.96 with six centuries and 31 fifties.
However, the 42-year-old vowed to return to the league next year and named two franchises for which he would like to win the title. Punjab Kings is one of them. “I’m coming back next year, they need me! I have represented three teams in IPL, Kolkata, RCB and Punjab. Between RCB and Punjab, I would love to bag a title with one of those two teams. I had a wonderful stint with RCB where I was more successful in IPL and Punjab, they have been good. I love to explore and I like challenges so let’s see what happens,” Gayle was quoted as saying by several media outlets.
