Sky News commentator Peta Credlin has urged Victorians to dispose of the ‘control-freak’ and ‘power-hungry’ premier at the upcoming election.

Ms Credlin interviewed a range of Dan Andrews critics for her documentary released this week which branded the Victorian Premier a ruthless, relentless and arrogant bully.

The Sky News feature titled ‘The Cult of Daniel Andrews’ aired this week and contained high ranking Victorian officials, including a former police commissioner who said the Andrews Labor government was the ‘most corrupt’ he had ever seen.

It also covers issues from Victoria’s failing health system to Mr Andrews’ fall at a holiday home that had him off work for three months, and his involvement in a 2013 car crash that left a 15-year-old boy seriously injured.

Ms Credlin also noted Mr Andrews had been interviewed as part of at least four investigations by the Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission.

In an article by Ms Credlin for The Sunday Telegraph she called on Victorians to remove the ‘virtual dictator’ not just for their sake but for all of Australia.

‘As a Victorian, born and bred, I never thought I’d see SWAT police use rubber bullets and tear gas against peaceful protesters anywhere in Australia, let alone before the Melbourne Shrine of Remembrance,’ the Sky News commentator said.

‘I never thought Australians would allow themselves to be intimidated by their government. But it will be hard to avoid that conclusion if Victoria votes next Saturday to reward the Premier for the worst two years in their lives.

Ms Credlin said the documentary showcased ‘good and brave’ Labor members speaking out, warning voters ahead of Saturday’s election.

The political commentator also took aim at all the state’s leaders for inflicting ‘two miserable lost years’ on the Australian population.

The Sky News host said the government ‘shamelessly’ and arrogantly blamed its failure in the pandemic on everything but itself.

‘If you think the Andrews government is arrogant now, just think how arrogant it could become if elected for another four years,’ Ms Credlin said.

Ms Credlin urged Australians to vote below the ballot line for the Legislative Council so both Andrews and the upper house aren’t reinstated.

Her comments come after Mr Andrews took aim at the Liberal Party on Friday for directing its preferences to ‘Nazis’, The Australian reported.

‘Nazis – that’s who’s getting preferences from the Liberal Party – and racists and conspiracy theorists is the most polite way to describe some of the people the Liberals are preferring,’ Mr Andrews said.

‘I intend to make sure that everyone across Victoria knows about it, particularly our proud multicultural communities who are so often … the victim of appalling behaviour.’

The Premier then took to Twitter on Saturday to double down on his remarks without identifying who the ‘Nazis’ were.

‘I want to be very clear here,’ Mr Andrews tweeted.

‘Nazis, racists and bigots have no place in politics. They have no place in our parliament. And they have no place in our state.

‘The Liberal Party are actively supporting candidates who espouse those views. I’m not going to name them – I’m not going to give them the satisfaction of airtime.

‘But I’m going to call it out. This is what’s at stake in this election.

Ms Credlin previously told Daily Mail Australia that Australia should be on the alert of Labor governments in other states becoming what Andrews was to Victoria.

‘If what has happened under Andrews in Victoria is now the new manifestation of Labour, you want to hope it doesn’t come to a state near you,’ Ms Credlin said.

‘I said to them, “Good on you for telling me all this stuff now but how on earth does he stay there?”

‘More than just one of them said, “Peta it’s a cult. It’s an absolute cult. When you’re in there and you’re in his favor you’re just so consumed by it.

‘”And when you’ve crossed him or you’re in the freezer or you’ve left, you go, what the hell was I thinking?”‘
