Pool Pulia 2 became Karthik’s largest overseas HIT, grossing over Rs 260 crore
NEW DELHI: Actor Karthik Aryan is riding a high horse all the time as his horror-comedy film ‘Pool Pulia 2’ is running undefeated at the box office and OTT. Breaking the competition week by week and setting many records, Karthik has now collected over Rs 200 crore worldwide for the first time in a calendar year.
With Rs. With a gross of Rs 218.14 crore in the Indian market and a further Rs 42.61 crore in overseas, ‘Pool Pulia 2’ managed to gross Rs 260 crore at the box office worldwide.

Despite stiff competition from many big budget films including Akshay Kumar’s Samrat Prithviraj, Alia Bhatt’s Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Ganguly Kathiwadi and YRF, Ranveer Singh’s Jaishboy Jordar, Karthik Aryan has delivered the biggest blockbuster hit after the epidemic. His film seems to be stronger than other films in its third week as it has grossed over Rs 200 crore worldwide and is on its way to grossing Rs 175 crore in India, leaving out any Hindi film released this year.
‘Pool Pulia 2’ starring Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan and Shiny Ahuja is the sequel to the popular 2007 psychological thriller ‘Pool Pulia’.
The sequel is a horror comedy starring newcomers including Karthik, Kiara Advani and Tabu. ‘Pool Pulia 2’ is directed by Anees Pasmi and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Murad Kedani, Anjum Kedani and Krishan Kumar under the banner of D-Series and Cine1 Studios.
Talking about Karthik Aryan’s upcoming films, he has in his kitty untitled films of ‘Shejada’, ‘Captain India’, ‘Freddy’ and Sajid Nadiadwala.
