New Delhi: Punjab police have arrested two more gangsters in connection with the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Mooswala in Mansa district last month. Here’s all we know about Mahagal: Lawyer Bishnoi Syndicate aide and assistant to sniper Sidhu Mooswala
According to the PTI, Mahagal acted as a close associate of the mastermind behind the singer’s murder and was remanded in custody for 14 days by the Maharashtra Police.
Another suspect and his close associate Santosh Jadhav, who was identified as the shooter in the murder of Sidhu Mooswala, has been arrested in Pune, Maharashtra.
According to police, Mahakal was an accomplice of Santosh Jadhav and a suspect in the murder of singer Sidhu Mooswala. Mahakal, where the Maharashtra Organized Crime Control Act (MCOCA) was enforced by the Pune (Rural) Police, is wanted for harboring Santosh Jadhav, who was booked for murder in 2021 at the Manjar police station in Pune.
According to the police, Mahakal has committed a crime on the example of Lawrence Bishnoi, a gangster in Moga district of Punjab. Mahagal was involved in criminal activities in conjunction with the main shooter who killed Mooswala and Lawrence.
Mahakal Lawrence is a key member of the Bishnoi Syndicate. He was associated with the Bishnoi Syndicate and was recently involved in a registered assassination attempt in Jaipur, Rajasthan, police said.
According to a preliminary investigation, they said Mahagal had been in close contact with more than one gunman before and after Mouswala was killed.
Meanwhile, a Mumbai police team has arrived in Pune to question Mahakala over a threatening letter sent to Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan. According to police, an unsigned letter threatening Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan was found on the sidewalk of Bandra Bandstand in Mumbai on Sunday. In a letter written in Hindi, police sources, who did not want to be named, said that Salim Khan and his son would soon meet the fate of slain singer Sidhu Mooswala (Dera Moosawala Bana Denge). According to police, Salim Khan found the letter on the bench where he was sitting after jogging every morning. From 7.30 am to 8 pm he found the letter in his and Salman’s name.
According to police, Sachin Bishnoi, a relative of Lawrence Bishnoi, was also involved in the murder of Sidhu Mooswala.
However, the main shooter involved in the murder has not yet been identified by police. Efforts are underway in collaboration with several state police forces to nab the main culprit.
Mooswala, a 28-year-old singer-politician, was shot dead on May 29 in Mansa district of Punjab by some unidentified assailants. Lawrence Bishnoi, who is currently in custody, was the mastermind behind the murder of singer Sidhu Mooswala, according to the Delhi Police. However, police have not released details of the motive behind the assassination of the popular singer and Congress leader and how Bishnoi conspired to commit the crime despite being imprisoned in the high-security Tihar Jail in the national capital.
