Protesting wrestlers denied entry to CSK vs DC match, alleges Sakshi Malik
Top Indian wrestler Sakshi Malik, who along with other wrestlers is protesting against Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, on Saturday alleged that she was asked to stop the IPL 2023 game between Chennai Super Kings and Chennai Super Kings. Sakshi told IANS, “All five of us had tickets for the match and we were going to watch the match. Delhi Police first took our tickets, then we were taken to an undisclosed location.”
Another wrestler who was there with Sakshi said, “The police said they will give us VIP treatment but tried to detain us. We then asked for our tickets and said we will not watch the game anymore and returned.”
Notably, India’s top wrestlers Sakshi, Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia are demanding the arrest of Brijbhushan Sharan Singh for allegedly sexually assaulting seven female wrestlers.
