Russian President Vladimir Putin has rejected the “good faith” efforts of the United States and its allies to address Washington’s mutual security concerns through dialogue and avoid unnecessary conflict and human suffering, Foreign Minister Antony said. According to the US Department, the Treasury Department has nominated Putin and Foreign Minister Lavrov. The US Treasury has already nominated eleven members to the Russian Security Council, and we will consider nominating more in the future if Russia does not stop its unprovoked campaign against Ukraine, the statement said.
“We will continue to coordinate closely with partners and allies to impose dire consequences on Russia for the war against Ukraine. Several months of sustained diplomacy with partners and allies at all levels coordinated our aims, resolutions and measures. Notably, early on Thursday Russia launched a special military operation following the recognition of Donetsk and Luhansk.
Western countries have strongly condemned the Russian military operation and increased sanctions pressure on Moscow.
