Ranbir Kapoor called Anushka Sharma his favorite leading lady, find out the details!
New Delhi: Actor Ranbir Kapoor is currently working on promoting his period drama Shamsher. The actor, who rarely gives interviews to the media when a film is not being promoted, was his honest best. Ranbir has shared on the news website who is his favorite co-star and his favorite lead lady to work with. His all time favorite co-star is Saurabh Shukla but his favorite leading lady is Anushka Sharma. Ranbir has shared the screen space with Saurabh in three films namely Parfi, Jakka Jasoos and now Shamshera. She has worked with Anushka in films like Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Bombay Velvet and Sanju.
Speaking to Mashable, Ranbir revealed his favorite co-star Saurabh Shukla, and added that it was Anushka Sharma if he wanted to choose a leading lady in particular. Praising the latter, the ‘Sanju’ actor continued, “We are really close friends, we are very annoying to each other, we fight and we have good creative energy.
Ranbir Kapoor is coming to the big screen after a gap of four years. He last acted in ‘Sanju’ directed by Rajkumar Hirani. ‘Shamshera’ directed by Karan Malhotra will be released on July 22. It also stars Sanjay Dutt and Vani Kapoor. The actor will next be seen in ‘Brahmastra’ directed by Ayan Mukherjee, in which Alia Bhatt will be paired with him for the first time in a film. The blockbuster film is set to release on September 9th. It stars Mauni Roy, Amitabh Bachchan and Nagarjuna Akkineni in the lead roles.
Anushka Sharma is all set to star again after four years. She last starred in Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif in Anand L Roy’s ‘Zero’. Anushka will next be seen in Netflix’s Shakta Express based on the life of former Indian cricketer Julan Goswami.
