New Delhi: A Ranchi court has refused to ban the release of Bollywood film Jag Jag Jag Geo.

Ranchi-based writer Vishal Singh has approached the court seeking an injunction restraining the release of the film, claiming that the content of his story ‘Bunny Queen’ was used in the film without giving any credit.

Earlier, the court had ordered the producers to screen the film in court. Following this, Dharma Productions filed a petition not to show the file to Vishal Singh. The screening date is set for June 21st. According to the petitioner’s lawyer, the screening did not take place.

The film, co-produced by Dharma Productions and Viacom 18 Studios, is set to release on June 24.

‘Jag Jag Geo’, directed by Raj Mehta and produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, is set to hit theaters on June 24. Apart from Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani, the film also stars Anil Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor.

It stars Manish Paul and marks the Bollywood debut of social media influencer-actor Prajakta Kohli.
