Rani Mukherjee visits Golden Temple in Amritsar to receive blessings after ‘Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway’ hits theatres.
Amritsar: Actress Rani Mukherjee recently visited Amritsar and received divine blessings at the famous Sri Harmandir Sahib or Golden Temple. A photo of Rani standing with folded hands in front of the shrine is going viral on the internet. Rani visited the Golden Temple at a time when her film ‘Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway’ was running in theatres.
In the film, Rani essays the role of a mother who fights the state for her children. The film is based on Sagarika Chakraborty’s book The Journey of a Mother. Directed by Ashima Chipper, “Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway” stars Neena Gupta, Jim Sarb and Anirban Bhattacharya among others.
The film hits theaters on Friday. Sakharika Chatterjee is the woman who fought the Norwegian government for her right to be reunited with her children after they took them away from her, placed them in foster care and said they would not be returned until they turned 18. .
