Ranveer Singh-starrer 'Jayeshbhai Jordaar' to release on May 13

Mumbai: Bollywood Livewire star Ranveer Singh’s next film ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’ is all set to hit the screens on May 13. The film was earlier scheduled to release in February. However, the release was pushed due to Omicron’s wrath.

Ranveer explains what people can expect from Jayeshbhai’s character.

He says, “Jayesh is no bigger than your typical life hero, but what he does during the course of the story is heroic. And that is what attracted me. He grows into a hero and what he pulls off. He’s remarkable and really super, he’s a very unconventional type of superhero.”

Star all praise for Jayeshbhai vigorous director Divyang Thakkar, which he feels is one of the most beloved films in the history of Indian cinema.

Ranveer says, “My mentor Adi Chopra called me one day and he said ‘I have got a wondrous script and I would like you to hear it’ and I went for narration. Divyang Thakkar who has never directed anything before, He gave me a narration in which I was laughing with my tears and laughing, laughing and crying at the same time. I had a tissue box on the table which was over by the end of the narration. I was entertained, shaken.”

He says, “I agreed on the spot to be a part of this film. The heart of this film is writer-director Divyang Thakkar and he is a bundle of pure love and joy and the goodness of his heart, kind, humble and Loving soul, which is reflected in his work, his writing in his film and my character.”

He continued: “Jayesh is a character that I have never tried before and so it was completely new and new to me which was a very exciting prospect for me. I really had to create something because this type of character I haven’t played before. I’ve seen the potential to create something unique and original for myself and as an artist, it’s been a very satisfying process.”
