Revealing why he chose Varun Dhawan for ‘Bediya’, director Amar Kaushik said, ‘He himself came to me…’
Mumbai: ‘Bedia’ director Amar Kaushik revealed why he invited Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan for his film. Amar, who is known for directing films like ‘Stree’, ‘Baala’, ‘Sone Bi To Yaaro’ and many others, shared that he approached the actor for the script.
He said: “Varun came to me and told me that he wanted to be a badia (wolf). The moment he said this I was like ‘You’re so beautiful, don’t be like a badia.’ Varun actually said, ‘I acted like a badia. It blew my mind, that’s why.’ Got our badia.”
Amar appears on ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ along with the cast of his film ‘Bediya’ including Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon, Abhishek Banerjee and Deepak Dobriyal.
“Bediya” is a comedy-horror film. It is directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan. It stars Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon in lead roles. The story revolves around a man named Bhaskar (played by Varun) and there is a twist in the story when he is bitten by a wolf one night due to which he gets some special powers and can become a wolf on full moon nights. Also, Amar shared that his family thinks he has achieved something big as he finally appeared on “The Kapil Sharma Show”.
He added: “My father is here (in Mumbai) and wanted to watch ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’, but I was like coming to the show for the first time. My dad was like you have finally made a film. I was invited to the show. Rather than me, I would have stayed in Canada. My younger sister couldn’t contain her excitement and said to my father, “Dad, Amar Kapil is going on the show”. Somewhere I realized that my looks were being talked about more in that show. My image.”
“The Kapil Sharma Show” airs on Sony Entertainment TV.
