New Delhi: Pakistani actress Mahira Khan, who made her Bollywood debut in the film ‘Raees’ opposite Shah Rukh Khan, is all set to connect with Indian fans again with her ‘Satke Tumhare’ show. Originally screened in 2014, Zindagi will air in India on Thursday.
Excited to return to the TV screen, Mahira said, “Satke Tumhare is a heartfelt, simple love story. Shano is one of my favorite characters. He is secular, romantic and pure love. Watching the show is a nostalgic moment, very close to my heart. I’m glad to have this opportunity to reunite with the Indian audience through Zindagi. “
`Sadke Tumhare` was written by Khalil-ur-Rahman Qamar and directed by Mohammad Ehteshamuddin. It is a love story set in the 1980s. The project is based on the life experiences of the writer, who tells the story of Khalil (Adnan Malik) and Shano (Mahira), who were engaged early in their lives and lost contact for 10 years.
Shano, a village girl, wants to meet her fianc Khalil, who has moved to the big city. Initially, Khalil was hesitant about his feelings for Shano considering that there are good opportunities in the city now, but in the end he falls in love with her. Mahira is best known for her television show ‘Humsafar’, which also stars Fawad Khan.
