Washington: Selena Gomez has clarified that there is no heat between her and her ex The Weeknd’s new lady Simi Khadra. According to People Magazine, The Weeknd was seen kissing Simi Khadra (from DJ sister duo Simi and Hayes), Gomez shared a funny photo of the trio hanging out with friends on Instagram.

“Since 2013,” she captioned the photo of herself, Simi and Haya Khadra, setting off social media discussions of potential tension over her ex. Over the weekend, the ‘Blinding Lights’ singer was seen celebrating her 32nd birthday in Las Vegas with 29-year-old Khadra.

On Wednesday, however, a source told People Magazine that the pair were not yet officially in a relationship. “He is dating and not in a committed relationship with anyone,” the source added.

Gomez, 29, and The Weeknd (real name Abel Tesfaye) dated from January to October 2017 following his on-again relationship with supermodel Bella Hadid, who is believed to be friends with Khadra.

After their split, Gomez told Billboard that she and The Weeknd were still close despite the breakup, with Gomez praising her ex.

“Something I’m really proud of is such a true friendship (between me and The Weeknd),” she told the outlet. “I’ve never really experienced anything like this in my life. We ended it as best friends, and it was really about encouraging and caring (for each other), and it was about my It was remarkable.”
