Sensex loses 383 points today on rising Russia-Ukraine tensions
NSE Nifty also recovered part of its opening losses before closing 114.45 points or 0.67% lower at 17,092.20
The BSE benchmark Sensex closed nearly 383 points lower at 57,300 levels on Tuesday, tracking heavy selling in global markets.
The Sensex made a sharp recovery after losing nearly 1,300 points in opening deals but still closed at 57,300.68, down 382.91 points or 0.66%.
The NSE Nifty also recovered its share of early losses before closing down 114.45 points or 0.67% at 17,092.20.
Tata Steel, TCS and SBI were the biggest losers on the Sensex chart, falling up to 3.64 per cent. Of the 30 components of the Sensex, 20 closed in the red.
