Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan has requested the court to return his passport in a drug case

Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan, who got a clean chit from the NCP last year in a drug smuggling case, filed a petition in a special NTPS court on Thursday seeking the return of his passport.

The court adjourned the case to July 13, ordering the Narcotics Control Unit to respond.

Aryan Khan was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in early October last year in a high-profile drug case, but the investigating agency did not find him guilty in the indictment filed in May. The NCB dropped Aryan Khan and five others due to lack of sufficient evidence. Aryan Khan had submitted his passport to the court on bail conditions.

On Thursday, he filed an application in the special court through his lawyers Amit Desai and Desai Desai Karimji and Rahul Aggarwal of Mulla, seeking the return of his passport, citing non-name in the charge sheet. The 24-year-old was arrested by the NCB on October 3 last year after raiding a Goa-bound cruise ship off the coast of Mumbai. Aryan Khan spent more than 20 days in jail before being granted bail by the Bombay High Court.
