Tunisha Sharma death case: Actor’s uncle demands inquiry into role of Sheesan’s relatives
New Delhi: The family of late television actress Tunisha Sharma’s uncle Pawan Sharma has urged the police to investigate the role of the actor’s ex-boyfriend Sheesan Khan’s relative in her death. Tunisha was found dead on the sets of her popular TV show ‘Alibaba-Dastan-e-Kabul’ on December 24 last year. A day later, on December 25, her boyfriend and co-star was arrested on charges of inciting suicide.
Speaking to ANI on Wednesday, Tunisha’s uncle said, “We have gone to the home department and insisted that the case be transferred to a fast-track court. We have also asked other family members of Sheesan Khan, who were involved in this conspiracy, to be investigated.” Sheesan and Tunisha reportedly broke up 15 days before the alleged suicide.
Sharma had reportedly been hospitalized for an anxiety attack a few months before his death. According to reports, the actress also suffered from depression and anxiety in 2018.
Earlier, on January 23, Sheesan filed a bail plea in the Bombay High Court and also filed a separate petition seeking quashing of the FIR registered against him in the case. Maharashtra’s Vasai court on January 13 rejected the TV actor’s bail plea. “Sheesan and Tunisha ended their relationship on December 15. After that she died of panic. It is also revealed that Sheesan was the last person Tunisha met before her death.”
Sheesan has been remanded in judicial custody in connection with Tunisha’s death. The late actor’s family had earlier claimed that he was falsely implicated in the case by his mother. They also said that Tunisha is like a family to them.
