For the first time ever, two real-life showbiz couples have been nominated for Oscars in four acting categories. The nominations for the 94th Academy Awards were announced on Tuesday. Penelope Cruz and husband Javier Bardem are shortlisted for Best Actress and Best Actor, respectively. Kirsten Dunst has been nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress and her partner Jesse Plemons is nominated for Best Supporting Actor. The couples have made nominations in past Oscars together, winning even; However, this is the first time that two couples have been nominated and covered all four acting categories.

Other couples include Rex Harrison and Rachel Roberts, who were nominated for Best in 1964.
