Two persons have been arrested from Udaipur on Thursday night for hatching a conspiracy to brutally murder a tailor, a senior police officer said.
Tailor Kanhaiya Lal was murdered on Tuesday afternoon by two cleaver wielders Riyaz Akhtari and Ghaus Mohammad, who posted a gruesome video of the crime online and claimed responsibility for the “beheading”. Both the accused were arrested from Rajsamand a few hours after the incident.
“Two people have been arrested. They were co-conspirators in Kanhaiya’s murder and are being questioned,” the official said on Friday.
The arrested accused have been identified as Mohsin and Asif.
The case is being probed by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in collaboration with the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) and the Special Operations Group (SOG) of the Rajasthan Police.
